NATE CERTIFIED TRADE BROKER PROGRAM

The NATE Certified Trade Broker Program (CTB) challenges each one of us to strive for the highest level of service to our clients and ensures the continued growth and expansion of our industry. As professionals involved in managing and providing quality barter service, you are invited to apply for NATE accreditation as a Certified Trade Broker. The CTB Program is offered annually at The NATE Convention - register today and become a NATE CTB!

NATE MASTER TRADE BROKER PROGRAM CRITERIA

Criteria Required To Achieve Master Trade Broker Certification

  1. Minimum of five years as broker
  2. Two letters of recommendation: one each from owner of a trade exchange and from a client - should include specific details how applicant has demonstrated exceptional ability as a broker
  3. Thesis relating to barter for NATE Update (Topic and appropriateness must be approved by certification committee/length 500/650 words.)
  4. Innovative strategy to increase broker productivity (report submitted to certification committee)
  5. Press release relating to an appealing barter deal/event at a specific trade exchange (Not to exceed 300 words)
  6. Ten hours of in-service to NATE by volunteering to assist with specific duties (i.e. assembling convention welcome packages, working reception desk, serving as greeter, assisting with name tags, article for newsletter, etc.)
  1. Speech (5 minute) to targeted audience regarding the benefits of barter and/or participate in a business networking group or small business show representing the barter industry (verification submitted to certification committee)
  2. Barter industry conference participation during the last five years (Panel, Round Table, Seminar, etc.) Minimum of two events demonstrating leadership
  3. Mentoring experience - essay (200-250 words) focusing on someone who has been the inspiration for your career choice in the Barter Industry.
